At this time, I am currently waiting to try e-cigarettes / vaporizers. The reason I am waiting is just this, I don't know what will be going into my body. One of the first questions you should always ask yourself is "what is in this?". E-Juices are fairly new, though they have been around for quite some time. I grew curious to how they work, and what they are made of. The quest begins.
WHAT IS IN MY E-JUICE?
http://shanesrantings.weebly.com/vaping-blog/june-15th-2014?
I started by finding the top 10% of e-juice manufacturers based on ratings by users on the website JUICEDB.com. I found 20 manufacturers and emailed them or contacted them via their website. Each company was asked the same 10 questions which I felt were simple questions, each deserving of a simple answer. You might be amazed at what I found out.

Hi Shane-
I hope this answers your questions satisfactorily: Why should I choose your business as my source of e-juice? Our recipes are created by The Chef, who has worked in many 5 star restaurants and is quite skilled with creating flavor blends and recipes. Each flavor we release undergoes a lengthy development period and is tested by our staff on several different set-ups. We don't release a flavor unless we believe it can be vaped "fresh" (we don't "pre-steep" any of our liquids here) and since we're all vapers ourselves, we will only ever provide a product we ourselves would be happy to vape. Are your e-juices considered natural, organic or some other classification? No. Our flavorings are sourced from several U.S. suppliers and contain both artificial and natural ingredients. We do not create our flavorings "in house". Are your e-juices made 100% in the United States? Meaning mixed and prepared. Yes. All of our liquid is mixed here, in house, at our facility in Bristol, PA. Is your nicotine made in the USA? Yes. Everything in our product is created and mixed here in the US. Is your Propylene Glycol made in the USA? Yes. Everything in our product is created and mixed here in the US. Is your Vegetable Glycerine made in the USA? Yes. Everything in our product is created and mixed here in the US. Is your flavoring made in the USA? Yes. Everything in our product is created and mixed here in the US. Do you add Diacetyl? No. We believe vaping is a healthier choice and we are avid believers in harm reduction. We do not add any chemicals that are known to be harmful for vaping (as we believe this may defeat the purpose.) We also do not use Whole Tobacco Alkaloids, nor do we offer nicotine concentrations above 2.4% (24mg), as we believe these may be unsafe as well. Do you add coloring? No. We do not add coloring, nor do we add any sweeteners to our products. Do you have an onsite lab? Yes. Our lab operates as a "clean room". Everyone who mixes our liquids is specifically trained to do so, and no one may enter the lab without proper eye protection, gloves, a lab coat (or in our case, Chef coats) and covered hair. You may view pictures of our facility at our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/TheVaporChef Please visit CASAA.org to stay up-to-date on the proposed FDA regulations! Hi Shane!
Congrats on finding the vapor! ! I'll go ahead and reply inline below.... Message: I am new to vapeing, and I am looking for a great supplier for my e-juice. I am contacting multiple suppliers in order to find out about customer service, as well as other information. Why should I choose your business as my source of e-juice? Good taste? You should try samples from many vendors to find which ones are to your liking. It would just make sense that at some point you try our award winning juices too. Are your e-juices considered natural, organic or some other classification? We use natural and artificial flavorings. Are your e-juices made 100% in the United States? Meaning mixed and prepared. Yes! Is your nicotine made in the USA? Nope. None of the nicotine found in ejuices is made in the USA. You need to question any vendor that claims they are using nicotine made in the US. Vendors get it from China or India in most all cases. We buy from a top notch American owned company in India. Is your Propylene Glycol made in the USA? Yes. ...and it's kosher. Is your Vegetable Glycerine made in the USA? Same as above. Is your flavoring made in the USA? Some. We also use some higher grade flavorings from Italy. Do you add Diacetyl? Absolutely not. Do you add coloring? Never. Do you have an onsite lab? We do have a dedicated lab for mixing. Andrea has a lab degree and background, so it goes without saying that we follow strict manufacturing guidelines. I hope that this helps you along your vaping journey! Vape on! Hey Shane,
Thanks for reaching out. All of our liquids are free I'd dyes and diacetyl. We use extracts and flavoring from questions favorite made unique for us so the flavors are unique to the vapeothecary. Our product is 100 percent American made. All of our ingredients are made in the USA. This includes flavoring, PG/VG and nicotine. All pg/vg and nicotine is 100 percent usp food grade certified. Also our liquids come pre-steeped and ready to vape out of the box! Since we buy all this from vendors, we do not have a lab to make flavors. We have a clean room in which we mix our flavors in, however. Let me know if you have more questions! Sam http://www.thevapeothecary.com/ https://www.facebook.com/vapeothecary Nicoticket

Shane, you can find all of these answers on our FAQ page http://www.rastavapors.com/faq/. We do not add coloring, and all of our products are 100% USA made. Even our Nicotine.

Hi Shane,
Thank you for the questions. First a bit about us and our focus: I stated Ahlusion as a reliable source strictly for myself and my Marines while we were deployed. While I was gone, I'd simply have to get a message home and have items delivered where possible. With that said, I never intended to open up the site to the general public but it happened in 2010 after friends and family of my Marines wanted more and it simply grew out from there. Fast forward to 2014, we have our own internal lab (soon to be 1 of only 4 to be officially ISO 9001:2008 certified - our whole operation as a matter of fact). Our lab is manned by certified lab technicians and pharmacy techs. You asked if we add Diacethyl: no - this is generally not even used in any flavoring products. I'll go one step further to say that we also do not use their considered safer alternatives (Diketones, Propionyl Acetyl, or Acetoins). We do not add colorings either. All our products are made in our lab; where we do source items, they are US made including our Nicotine, VG/PG, and flavorings. We also use USDA certified Organic, as well as natural, and artificial ingredients, but we don't try to confuse our customers. We cannot call our end products organic, or natural simply because we use those ingredients (as a matter of fact, that would be wrong to do so). From our FAQ section: On ingredients: http://www.ahlusion.us/faq/about-our-liquids/ingredients.html On our mixing and production area: http://www.ahlusion.us/faq/general/our-mixing-and-bottling-area.html Before even ordering be sure to read our e-liquid recommendations. A link is posted on every custom e-liquid page and can be found here directly: http://www.ahlusion.us/faq/general/e-liquid-recommendations.html Hope that helps. Shane,
First, I'll answer the technical questions. All of my liquids are made from 100% USA sourced products in my lab. Everything I get that's used in my liquid comes from a US based supplier. I do not use any flavorings that contain diacetyl, nor do I add any coloring or artificial sweeteners to my liquids. In my experience, coloring and artificial sweeteners gunk up coils more quickly than without, so I avoid them altogether. I don't have a brick and mortar myself but do only online retail and wholesale, so all I have is a lab site that I've converted into a clean room. While I only use the top quality products for my liquids, I hesitate to use buzzwords like natural or organic. There are definitely some artificial flavors used in some of the flavor blends I use, and I've spent a lot of time talking with the owner of my (personal) favorite flavoring company who argues that e-liquid, by design, can't be organic. Now, for why you should choose my business. Honestly, man, I couldn't tell you. I've always tried to provide the best quality products for an affordable price, but when it comes down to it everyone's palette is different. There are a lot of amazing e-liquid vendors out there (one of my personal favorites is Bombies). I can guarantee that I'll always try my best to provide the best quality of products and service I can, but beyond that you'll need to find the liquids you like. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Scott http://dbliquids.com/ https://www.facebook.com/DBLiquids
I'll do my best to answer in order... 1. We've been around for about three years and have consistently proven ourselves in the industry... not to mention we have the best flavors on the market. 2. No... we use natural and artificial flavorings. 3. Yes, everything is made here in our lab in a clean room in Florida. 4. Yes, we use the highest pharmaceutical grade PG/VG, flavoring and nicotine (all US made) . 5. Hell no. 6. some flavors have coloring added (we use organic food coloring in a handful of juices). 7. Yes, our lab is 'above food grade'. We use calibrated piston based machines. We have top of the line air purification as well as UV sterlization. All employees are fully geared and juices are mixed and bottled in a clean room.

Hi Shane!
Thank you for contacting me. All juices use USP grade certified kosher propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin from U.S. manufacturers. Nicotine used is from WizardLabs, and is highly regarded for their purity and suspensions in USP grade propylene glycol and/or glycerin. Juices are not made in batches, and hand mixed at the time of the order. Only U.S. flavor concentrate flavorings are used, and none add diacetyl to flavor the concentrations. I do use flavors that contain both Acetyl propionyl and acetoin , which are, at this time, considered GRAS (generally recognized as safe). Flavors used are natural and artificial, so they would not fall in to the natural or organic category. Natural and organic flavorings tend to be suspended or mixed with alcohol. This can cause an unwanted taste on juice, and I do not use them. Taste is subjective, and I do offer a sample pack to try out the juices without committing to 15ml or 30ml of a single flavor that you may not enjoy. Hope that answers your questions. Good luck in your search for the juices you are seeking! Regards, Toro Loco Vapor [email protected] Carpe Diem Vapor
